Postcards to Myself (October 4/5 - foliage/sky) 2020-21 Archival Inkjet Print on Dibond 8 x 12 inches Artist proof

Artist Statement

The ongoing work, Postcards to Myself, is a byproduct of quarantine. With limited access to both the larger world as well as printing facilities, these postcards, shot with my iPhone 7, document my daily small world goings-on while utilizing online consumer printing services and the US Postal Service. In turn, when possible, the postcard images are re-photographed with my DSLR, cropped and enlarged as ‘fine art’ prints – embracing, emphasizing and inverting the low-quality printing of the ‘original’ post cards. Works are titled according to the dates and subject matter of the original postcards.
