Artist Statement

My work examines the interconnectedness between the individual and the collective. I’m also interested in architectural structures and surfaces and explore ideas between infinity and constraints of space.

I accumulate small, individual objects or patterns and use them to create drawings, paintings or installations. When these tiny and seemingly insignificant individual pieces are gathered together, they generate a powerful existence and contemplative space as a collective body. The labor-intensive and repetitive process is employed to highlight and pay homage to individuals and the everyday activities of life.
