Artist Statement

“I draw with media of various consistencies as a form of play and as a way of being. In my process, play is serious in the best kind of way. Interests that come up in my work include ecosytemic interconnectedness; exploring magical relationships among bodies of varying shapes, densities, and materials; the borderland between symbols and non-symbols; articulating dream scenes; idolization of certain core forms (e.g. spoon, table, butterfly); portraying energy and action that is otherwise invisible to human eyes.”
