Carol Barre 'A Little Bit of Purple'

$0.00
NFS

A Little Bit of Purple, Acrylics, 8"x8", 2020.

Artist Statement

“When I paint I am consumed with experimenting and exploring the interaction and response of colors and textures whether it be a landscape or figure. In my recent work I am interested in using color to express how I feel painting the human figure and it’s gestures. While I am layering paint, scraping it off and putting it back on I’m thinking of the passage of time.”

Artist Bio

Carol attended the College of Saint Rose, Troy, New York where she received her BS in Studio Art and Art Education Certification. She had a mural business for many years and in 2011 set-up her studio and is now producing fine art. Carol teaches private painting classes and has displayed her paintings in various galleries and establishments in the Capital District.
