STATEMENT

My work is centered around my identity as a new mother, a Tex-Mex, and a bored millennial filled with existential dread. Through ceramics and mixed media installations, I create playful fantasy worlds inspired by the scenery of my everyday life. Candy-coated pop culture icons contrast with the ancient clay material to create surreal, psychedelic narratives that confuse and delight. Like a cluttered phone screen, my pieces are built modularly to form unexpected relationships through free association.
