STATEMENT

I create flashes of scenes from an unfinished story by merging themes and aesthetics from classical and contemporary art. I relate stories from the Christian and Greek mythology to our contemporary experience, such as by considering the invention of the internet analogous to the Prometheus myth or by personifying the Tree of Knowledge from the Genesis story in such a way that relates to our contemporary experience of digital connection. I merge the old and the new to better understand how technological developments define our culture and where they are taking us.
