Artist Statement

For the last four years, I have been drawing every day to create an inventory of my thoughts and feelings. My work has become a visual diary that I can go back to, and also take the viewer on an imaginative journey. I am interested in nostalgia and memories, and how colors, subjects, shapes are the sources of stories. When I work with pens and wash on paper, I'm reminded that simple materials can be used to make meaningful artwork.
