ABOUT

'Buffalos' is part of our cycle of original video-art projects merging DIY and camp aesthetics to celebrate queer culture and LGBTQ sexual freedom. We create video art projects to create frameworks that are positive renditions of our collective vulnerabilities and strengths.

'Buffalos' video-art for gallery installation portrays humorous and positive renditions of

queerness. Featuring Daniel Diaz as a naive cowboy and their mentor Agosto Machado, the video art project addresses Gay sexual desires, to combine camp aesthetic and dark comedy to reflect on mainstream Cowboy iconography and machismo. The video is inspired by the movie 'Little Big Man' which questions mainstream heroes in the Classic Western Cinema genre by taking a positive view on the movie’s lead character. We further this exploration by joyfully defining otherness and our identity as outsiders.
