Artist Statement

I paint non-objective imagery in conjunction with words, names, and dates to prompt an ambiguous field of opportunities. I compose vivid colours in organic shapes and lines bringing awareness and urgency to the spaces between text and form; suggesting textual interpretation from a place beyond verbal or written language. My work reflects an in-between state of expressionism, and a surface stained by the relationship between ambiguity and memory.
