Important COVID Protocol

Collar Works will be taking serious safety precautions to minimize as much risk as possible for residents and staff. We are requiring all staff, artists, and families (age permitted) in residence to be vaccinated and boosted for COVID. Protecting each other and our families are of utmost priority. Therefore, we will be requiring all participants, regardless of vaccination status to receive a negative COVID PCR test within 72 hours of arrival. We will require proof of vaccination prior to arrival as well, unless your family has an approved exemption.

Understanding that guidelines change as the risk changes, every effort will be made to keep the residency as safe as possible. Common areas will be cleaned and sanitized regularly. All staff will be tested regularly. There are private bedrooms and studios for artists (families may need to room together), but there are shared bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas in the historic farmhouse. Food will be provided for all meals, and Dinners will be prepared safely by a chef-in-residence. Once on-site, we ask artists to limit their travel off-site as much as possible and wear masks in public to mitigate risk and community spread. Currently, at this time, no outside guests are permitted on the property during the residency.

Travel Restrictions and Quarantine: All EMAR participants will need to produce a negative COVID PCR test within 72 hours of arrival to EMAR. Keeping our artists, their families, and staff safe and healthy is our utmost priority. We acknowledge that situations around restrictions, guidelines, and access to testing and vaccination may change and impact our planning and/or requirements. We will keep an open dialogue between administrators and artists to ensure appropriate planning.
